This Seattle Overload podcast sees Matty F. Brown and Griffin Sturgeon react to the latest Seahawks' free agency dealings, covering days 2 and 3 of proceedings. They talk about new Seattle safety Rayshawn Jenkins, tackle George Fant, center Nick Harris, and tight end Pharoah Brown.
Meanwhile, there are returning Seahawks players. Cornerback Artie Burns is back once more. And there is a surprise extension for outside linebacker Darrell Taylor, plus tenders for corner Michael Jackson, linebacker Jon Rhattigan, and defensive tackle Myles Adams.
Finally: where are the inside linebacker additions?! Seattle’s 2024 roster currently has Drake Thomas and Patrick O’Connell as the projected starters at the position, with Rhattigan as depth. A large part of Mike Macdonald’s defensive success in Baltimore was thanks to a great ILB pair. And yet, with free agency rapidly developing, the Seahawks’ options for upgrading the position look more and more limited.
